Worth The Splurge Ep 3: Monse, Loewe, & Cecilie Bahnsen

I’ve been making it a point not to look at expensive things. Ever since getting laid off, I’ve had to be very careful with the temptations around me. I avoided shopping streets, ignored the beckoning calls of sales, and kept my head down. Luckily, the tides are starting to turn, and I’m allowing myself to peak at my surroundings again. It’s just in time, really. With Copenhagen Fashion Week in our rearview mirrors and the rest of fashion’s finest gearing up to showcase the 2026 trends, I’ve been letting the inspiration grow inside of me.

At the ripe ol’ age of 30, I’ve also been trimming down the amount of clothing I own in favor of more high quality, intentionally purchased items. I want to invest in clothing I can wear proudly—over and over again. Perhaps my eye is trained enough at this point to distinguish a cheaply-made top from a quality one, 30 feet away. Or maybe it’s the fact that I believe what you wear is a reflection of who you are, and thus, I’m trying to be more intentional with choosing fine fabrics. And because of that, the Worth The Splurge series was created.

Today’s episode covers a lot of things—some bags, some jackets, and a lot of Cecile Bahnsen. I’m really into the frilly, feminine tops with edgy, sporty shoes look right now. And so while this may not be considered a “splurge”, I included a Salomon sneaker just to put my vision on paper. And with fall knocking on our doors, a lot of the items I picked gear towards cold-weather dressing. Still, I’m weaving in some of my favorite trends, like lace, and the pictured lady is wearing one of my favorite bug-eye sunglasses. I hope you enjoy the curation below, and shoot me a message at @biancabiancak if you have any recommendations on what you want to see more of!

xx Bianca
