Things I Find Really Chic This Winter
PC: @sylviemus_
Welcome back to the surviving winter series! So far, we’ve covered winter accessories, a winter wardrobe essentials list, and the best balaclavas. I figured today we’ll dive into some of the things I find really chic this winter. I mentioned this in the previous stories, but the key to looking streamlined in sub-zero temperatures can be broken down into two simple steps: finding the perfect coat and accessorizing right. So long as those two are checked off, you’re basically set for the winter. But beauty is in the details, isn’t it? Which is why I’m diving deeper into some of the trending pieces that really make you feel alive in the cold, not just getting by.
I’m embracing winter dressing with a little more creativity this year. While past seasons had me shutting down and bundling up with whatever was the warmest, this year I’m being a little more thoughtful about how I’m dressing. I’ve been paying a ton of attention to what’s trending on Substack (by the way, you should subscribe to Florré’s newsletter) and picking up on what the chic ladies of the internet are wearing. I find myself drawn to slim glasses (yes, still) and recently ordered a pair from Jimmy Fairly (exact pair linked below). I’m still very much on the gray bandwagon, so my accessories of choice are all silver (even diving into some brooches this year).
Surviving winter is just as much about making your home cozy as it is bracing the outdoors. Since we’ll all be spending more time indoors, I’ve added a decor section down below, too. I’m finding more and more ways to make home life feel warm and welcoming.
The below curation of things I find chic this winter touches on all of these subjects, plus a few extra pieces that have been catching my eye. I hope you find inspiration and join me in my attempts to romanticize winter!
