Florré’s Favorite Fall Lipsticks of 2025

Don’t you just love it when the seasons change and you have every right and reason to switch up your beauty routine? While I’m not a massive fan of the cold, I do enjoy the aesthetic of fall fashion and makeup. The cooler temperatures invite us to ditch the lightweight lippies and opt for the best fall lipsticks, which in my book means dark rouges and hints of brown. Even a burnt orange lipstick can bring out the more playful side of fall, working well with paler skin tones and what’s left of your summer freckles.

While the classic pink and red work year-round, the best fall lipsticks are a couple of shades darker and carry a bit of weight to them. Think burgundy instead of scarlet; crimson instead of cherry. I’m a massive fan of nude shades as well—the key is to pick a lipstick that’s a few tones darker than your natural lip.

I once learned a great beauty tip that I still abide by today, which is: if you’re going heavy on the lips, keep the eye makeup to a minimum. If you’re going for a bold eye shadow, then keep the lips neutral. The following fall-inspired lipsticks should act as the centerpiece of your face. Keep the eye makeup muted (think no eyeliner and gentle mascara) and let these fall lipsticks shine.

The Best Fall Lipsticks

Burgundy will always be the color of fall, no matter what the trends say. Opt for this rich Westman Atelier lipstick to summon cooler temperatures and candlelit dinners.

Chanel Rouge Allure in 212 Caractere

I love this muted orange lipstick by Chanel. It’s casual enough to wear daily, too.

$50

A moody, dark pink feels fun and flirty during fall. This option by Fenty is extra glossy, keeping your lips hydrated through the cold and dry days.

$26

Merit Signature Lip in Equestrian

Merit lipsticks are some of my favorite. They’re extra lightweight and deeply nourishing. They carry an air of nonchalance to them that makes them easy to wear every day.

$26

Gucci Velvet Matte Lipstick in 509 Rosso Ancora

For something a little more daring, opt for this dark rouge. I would gravitate towards this color for nights out and fancy events.

$49

Tom Ford Runway Lip Color in Dolce Burnt Sienna

Consider this the perfect office lipstick. She’s not too striking, but makes your lips pop nevertheless.

$62
