Summers put me in a superb mood. I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready to just have fun with fashion again. Whimsy, color, feel-good silhouettes—I’m shedding the stuffy layers that have been weighing me down and chasing joy. Because as much as I try to romanticize fall or get cozy in the winter, there’s no denying that I come alive in the summertime. Take me to Mallorca. Leave the AC off. Let me cook.

I’m my best self in a spaghetti-strapped top or white farmer girl dress, and I wanted this story to reflect that. As much as I rely on my trusty raffia totes and flip-flops, I wanted to get into new silhouettes and expand my comfort zone. This, I realize, is somewhat of a love letter to summer in the form of a fashion shopping wishlist.

If you’ve been around, you’d know I’m currently on a shopping ban. But that doesn’t stop a bitch from browsing. I’m specifically looking for things I feel are worth an investment once my shopping ban lifts. Did I cave a few times and buy a cute knee-length skirt or under-$50 butter yellow top? Yes. But the point is, I haven’t made any impulse buys, and my spending habits have been strictly controlled.

I’ve been shopping around Soho, popping into my favorite department stores, and perusing boutique shops in the Lower East Side. After logging what feels like 50,000 shopping steps, I’ve finalized my ultimate summer wish list. Summer Ready-to-Wear

Two things I’m hoping to add to my wardrobe this summer: a white square-neck dress and a red floral dress. I linked the two I’m currently eyeing from Staud and Realisation Par below. I also purchased the white knee-length skirt from Pêche just yesterday, and I’m in love! And while a leather jacket may not exactly scream summer, I’ve been on a year-long hunt for the best leather jacket and feel like I finally found my dream one from Helmut Lang.
