Florré’s Winter Wishlist
PC: Florré
I have a shopping addiction. Only problem is, I don’t have the means to fund this addiction, and too much self-control to go on a reckless bender. So in a way, I’m actually quite the healthy addict. And while I’m feening to get my hands on some new Tod’s mules, a Khaite tote, and new Miu Miu glasses (all linked below), I’m doing the responsible thing and getting my fix by simply writing about them instead.
When I was younger, I desperately wanted to be able to afford things from Zara. The Spanish retailer was the epitome of aspirational style to me, but all I could afford was the sale section at H&M. I find it interesting that some 15 years later, Zara is where I go budget shopping, and now my desires lie more in the realm of The Row. Feels a little unfair that the goal post keeps getting moved back, tbh.
But the truth is, life is fun because there are things to desire. Honestly, what would it be if you had nothing to look forward to? To work towards? That’s not to say you shouldn’t be grateful for all you’ve achieved—you absolutely should—but life is a balancing act between contentment and longing. I want proper winter boots. I want to write for Vogue. But I also love my Timberlands and my already impressive bylines.
This month’s editor wishlist contains a little bit of everything. I’m recently really into Eaves. I feel like the price, quality, and style are all well-balanced with one another. I’m also hunting for some elegant, unique going-out tops, and a couple (okay, a lot) of sleek shoes that can handle a bit of snow. Below, you’ll find a curation of items that are currently pulling at my heartstrings!
