The Best Beauty Items I’m Snagging For Black Friday, But It’s Just Repeat Buys of Things I Already Love

It’s Thanksgiving Day, a day before Black Friday, and a week before I officially move out of Brooklyn. I’m sitting on my bedroom floor next to some packed boxes and taking a moment between the dinner prep and the guests arriving to write a “best beauty buys” story for Black Friday. Everything feels a little bittersweet—while I’m excited about the big move (back to Westchester for me!) and starting a new chapter with my partner, packing away my life and saying goodbye to this killer Brooklyn apartment certainly stings. Still, I did what I had to do and sorted through my towering pile of beauty goods to see which were worth keeping, which needed to get tossed, and which will get passed around the Thanksgiving table to see if there are any takers.

In doing so, I realized I’m running low on some of my favorites. I’m a creature of habit, and while I have the privilege of testing plenty of beauty brands, I tend to go back to the five or six items that simply work. Sometimes I straight-up abandon a product that was gifted to me just to buy the moisturizer/serum/face wash that I know delivers results. And with Black Friday here and a clear vision on what’s currently missing in my vanity, I’m making my last order with this Brooklyn address and bringing a fresh rotation of my favorite skincare to my new home. See below for the best beauty Black Friday deals, which have all been tested and loved by yours truly.

Starting my mornings with this rich, cloud-like moisturizer is a real treat. It smells absolutely divine and sinks deep into the skin, keeping it moisturized for the entire day.

$60 (Was: $119)

My dark, droopy under eyes are probably one of my biggest insecurities. Needless to say, I’ve tried dozens of eye creams, and while none can work miracles, this one gave me the most refreshed and awake appearance.

$31 (Was: $62)

This was my first foray into Korean skincare, and I understand the hype. At first, the gel-like, sticky consistency felt a little off-putting. But it sinks in pretty quickly and doesn’t transfer onto the pillow. In the morning, my skin feels incredibly soft and moisturized, a true saving grace in the winter!

$15.40 (Was: $22)

Not to be dramatic, but this retinol changed my life. It didn’t just reduce fine lines, it eliminated microscopic lines and bumps that I didn’t even know needed fixing. As a result, my skin looks like it was pulled back tight—completely smooth.

$55.20 (Was: $69)

I know now that vitamin C serums are an absolute essential. This option by Sunday Riley effectively evened out my skin tone and brightened my complexion.

$63.75 (Was: $85)
