Cuff Bracelets Are Having a Big Moment Right Now

I’m not one to follow a ton of jewelry trends, but every once in a while something so shiny comes along that even my dull eyes start to twinkle. I’ve already spotlighted the silver jewelry movement, but there’s one other jewelry trend that’s been piquing my interest as of late, and that’s chunky cuff bracelets.

Credit is due where credit is deserved, so let’s start this off by mentioning Tiffany’s Bone Cuff, which to my knowledge started this whole trend. Now the Tiffany’s Bone Cuff is not new to the scene. It was originally designed by Elsa Peretti in 1970 and has been worn and loved by celebrities since its creation. Yet somehow the design is striking a particular chord now, and many brands are spewing out their own versions. Lucky us, because Peretti’s design retails at around $1,700, which may not be in every person’s budget at this time.

Those who knew, knew, and are probably already cuffed in. Like I said, I don’t claim to be a jewelry expert and therefore am perhaps late to the game, but I do believe this could be the next big heirloom jewelry piece. Like a Cove Bracelet from Cartier or a Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra necklace, some jewelry pieces stand the test of time and only need to be bought once, to be passed down generation after generation. But if you just want to dip your toes (fingers?) in the trend, then I recommend any of the following best cuff bracelets.

Madewell’s Chunky Dome Cuff is the closest in appearance to the original Tiffany’s cuff.

I love this sculptural cuff, which adds a very sophisticated touch to your wrist.

For something a little chunkier (and perhaps heavier), opt for this Alexis Bittar silver cuff.

My recommendation: get two of these and put them on each arm.

The Jordan Road cuff is frequently sold out, so grab it while it’s still in stock!

The open window in the middle of this twisted cuff gives it a visual edge.

I love this hammered aesthetic — it adds a bit of personality to an otherwise sleek accessory.

The Reformation cuff is thick, sturdy, and made out of recycled 925 sterling silver.

A cuff bracelet that’s not too wide or too slim, this option by Ettika is worth including in your rotation as well.
